Excursion to Abu Simbel

The tour departs from Aswan at the indicated time. We will pick you up from the hotel or the boat where you are staying very early to arrive at the temples first thing in the morning and avoid the suffocating heat of midday. Along the way you can enjoy something unique, such as the sunrise in the desert. After about 3 hours of travel we will arrive at Abu Simbel, the very famous complex made up of two temples excavated in the rock, one dedicated to Ramses II and the other to Nefertari, his first wife and his favorite. The construction took about 20 years to build and was done under the reign of Ramses II. The state of conservation of the temples is excellent, since they were buried under the sand until the 19th century. Our guided tour will last 1 hour, enough time to discover every corner of both temples and learn all their stories and anecdotes, such as why they are preserved in impeccable condition, how they were moved, and what Egypt did in exchange for international aid. After enjoying this gem we will return to Aswan, arriving after approximately 7 or 8 hours of activity. Pickups This activity includes pickup from hotels, hostels and apartments in the city of Aswan. However, if your hotel or boat is located on one of the following islands in Aswan, we will pick you up at the meeting points mentioned below: For accommodation on Western Aswan Island (Gharb Aswan): we will pick you up at the West Bank Ferry Terminal. For accommodation on Elephantine Island (Guizirit Alfantin): we will pick you up at the KFC restaurant in Kornish Al Nile or at the Telecom Egypt Office on El Sadat Road. For accommodation on Suhil Island (Guizirit Suhil): we will pick you up at the West Bank Ferry Terminal. If your hotel or boat in Aswan is not located in the city center or on any of the islands mentioned, you will have to go to one of the indicated meeting points.
