Overview
On this excursion to Abu Simbel we will visit the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari without getting up early and, at night, we will see its famous light and sound show. The best option if you have more time in Aswan!
Itinerary
After picking you up at your hotel or boat, we will leave Aswan heading south. Once we reach the southern shore of Lake Nasser, we will take a guided tour of Abu Simbel. During our tour of this famous archaeological site, we will visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, presided over by colossal sculptures of the Egyptian pharaoh.
On our tour we will also visit the Lesser Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to the favorite wife of Ramses II. The monument is full of hieroglyphs and enigmas that we will try to solve during the tour.
After the tour of Abu Simbel, you will have free time to have lunch on your own in the surrounding area. We will meet again in the evening, at which time we will attend a night show at Abu Simbel. The monuments of the site will be illuminated with various projections that, accompanied by music, will allude to the history of Ancient Egypt.
After the show we will move to the Seti Abu Simbel Hotel, a 4-star hotel very close to the temples where we will have dinner and rest until the next day. Accommodation may vary depending on availability, but an alternative of similar category will always be offered.
Having regained our strength with a comforting breakfast at our hotel in Abu Simbel, we will return to Aswan, where we will be back between 12:00 and 13:00 hours.

From December 20 to January 2 (Christmas) and Easter, a refund for this activity will not be possible in case of cancellation.
Pickup
This activity includes pickup from hotels, hostels and apartments in central Aswan. However, if your hotel or cruise is located on one of the following Aswan islands, we will pick you up at the meeting points mentioned below:
For accommodation on West Aswan Island (Gharb Aswan), we will pick you up at the West Bank ferry terminal.
For accommodation on Elephantine Island (Guizirit Alfantin), we will pick you up at the KFC restaurant in Kornish Al Nile or at the Telecom Egypt Office on El Sadat Road.
For accommodation on Suhil Island (Guizirit Suhil), we will pick you up at the West Bank ferry terminal.
If your hotel or cruise is not located in the center of Aswan or on any of the islands mentioned above, you will have to go to one of the indicated meeting points.
