Valley of the Nobles, Medinet Habu and Deir el-Medina

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from the hotel or boat where you are staying to go to the western shore of Luxor, area of ​​the ancient Thebes necropolis. Our first stop will be Medinet Habu, where the mortuary temple of Ramses III is located, one of the most important religious monuments in the city. Its entrance is 63 meters wide and 22 meters high and represents the pharaoh punishing some prisoners. The tour continues by heading to the Valley of the Nobles, where more than 500 tombs of high officials of the Theban government are located. We will enter several of the tombs to discover their decoration, much better preserved than that of the royal tombs because they were less interesting to looters. Our last stop will be Deir el-Medina, an Egyptian town founded by Thutmose I to house the workers and artisans of Ancient Egypt. For more than 450 years this town was inhabited by the builders and decorators of the royal tombs. Much archaeological evidence is still preserved, making this one of the most studied towns of the time. 4 hours after pickup, the tour ends again at the hotel or boat where you are staying. Pickup This activity only includes pick-up and return transfer to Luxor hotels and boats located on the eastern bank (right bank) of the Nile River. On the return we will drop you off at the same location as the pick-up. If your hotel or boat in Luxor is on the western bank (left bank) of the Nile River, we will arrange a meeting point for you on the eastern bank.
